The best place to stay when in Newport! I asked Jennifer in the breakfast room about the ice machine because I am a light sleeper. Within minutes I received a call from Meg at the front desk asking if I wanted to switch rooms. I was moved to a corner suite with a stunning view of the sound. The hospitality from Jennifer, Meg, June and all employees at the Harborside Inn was phenomenal! The location is the best in Newport right next to Thames Street which is where most of the restaurants and stores are located. Easy walking to most places. Parking is free which is an added bonus. The complimentary continental breakfast was excellent. They also make available tea and freshly baked cookies throughout the day. I would not stay anywhere else than the Harborside Inn when in Newport.

What a lovely boutique hotel . From the moment we arrived to the time we left we were treated like family. Our room overlooked the water, was decorated in a nautical theme and clean. The staff is top-notch! Highly recommend staying here!

Everything here was phenomenal! Had a comfortable room/suite with two beds. Since I do not share names on public reviews, but want to give the shout out and kudos to the very friendly and lovely front desk lady and manager whom I've spoken to on the phone a week prior to the visit and met her briefly the morning before checkout. They made our stay comfortable and, importantly, made my partner and I feel welcomed. We'll definitely look into checking here at the Harborside Inn again for our next visit to beautiful Newport, Rhode Island. Thank you again!

Great 30th Anniversary Trip! We have returned to hot and humid Florida following our 30th Anniversary celebration. Our stay at Harborside Inn was wonderful! The location was perfect with so many wonderful restaurants and shops within walking distance. Our choice of Harborside Inn was a great choice! My husband travels for work and a "non hotel" was what we were looking for. From check in (and a bottle of 30th Anniversary celebratory wine!) to breakfast and then to check out, every staff member we encountered was so friendly and welcoming. Our room could not have been better! Due to travel date constrictions and availability, we ended up in the Captain's Suite .and LOVED IT! I can not say more about the coziness and comfot of the room. I swear the bathroom floor felt heated! if you are taking a trip to Newport, staying with Harborside Inn will be a great decision! I know we will be back!!

We have absolutely loved our stay at the Harborside Inn. The team here is so wonderful and go above and beyond to make sure your visit is an excellent one. This was our view upon check-in - the harbor is absolutely beautiful, and the inn is in the perfect location to explore downtown Newport on foot (and a free parking spot if you travel in by car). Our room is so comfortable - filled with fresh plants, modern coastal decor and has a great layout. Housekeeping clearly takes great care too - our room feels so fresh and clean and when we left a note one night for an extra towel or two, this lovely bin of replenished items was left at our door. Thank you to the team at Harborside for making us feel right at home! We will be back for our next Newport vacation.
