In Newport, the Harborside’s has two sister properties: the Jailhouse Inn and the Yankee Peddler Inn. Both are also in the downtown historic area, but the Harborside is the only one directly on the waterfront. While in Newport, if the season allows, we sincerely recommend a harbor cruise aboard sailing yacht Madeleine or vintage power yacht Rumrunner II. It is such a joy and a fresh perspective to experience Newport from the water. Boat reservations are available online or by phone, or feel free to ask for advice and assistance from staff at the inns.
In Oak Bluffs, on the island of Martha’s Vineyard (just off Cape Cod), our sister property is the 32-room Pequot Hotel. It is a wonderful place to visit known for beaches, relaxed atmosphere, and gingerbread architecture. Many guests enjoy a trip to Newport combined with a visit to Cape Cod or Martha’s Vineyard — we highly recommend the combination, but be sure to give yourself more than one day and night in Newport, as there really is a great deal to do and see.
